THE LIMERICK minor hurlers will look to get their Munster championship campaign back on track against Waterford. Donal O'Grady's side take on Waterford in Fraher Field, Dungarvan on Friday, at 7pm.

The Shannonsiders suffered an opening round defeat to Cork, while Waterford recorded a surprise win over Tipperary.
“We've a quick turnaround, a tough challenge away in Waterford. At minor level, obviously they're very disappointed. Hopefully we can get it right this week,” said Limerick minor hurling manager Donal O'Grady.

“We know every game in Munster is going to be tough. I think there is a lot more us. We'll hopefully get that out on the pitch on Friday night.”

O'Grady said it was good to get their Munster campaign underway after months of preparation.
“You're trying to avoid playing Munster teams in challenges games. We've lot of work put into the lads. (Friday night) wasn't a true reflection of what we put into them. It's a nice eye opener for everyone of the challenge ahead.”

The Granagh-Ballingarry native was previously involved with the Limerick senior hurling team as a selector under John Kiely. O'Grady said the role of minor hurling manager is different.

“Different, it's tough, we've a great management team with us. Some very good coaches there. As I said, we've put a lot of work into them. I'm enjoying it, there's a nice team there. Our job ultimately is to get the best out of them on match day.”
