DONAL O'GRADY will begin his reign as Limerick minor hurling manager on Friday evening. Limerick take on Cork in the opening round of the Munster minor hurling championship this evening in the TUS Gaelic Grounds at 7pm.

O'Grady was part of the Limerick senior hurling backroom team between 2020 and 2024. Ger Kelleher, Tom Murphy, Brian Sexton, Jody Hannon and Liam Reale are all part of the Limerick minor hurling management team this year.

Ger Kelleher has previously managed his own club Dromin-Athlacca. Offaly native Tom Murphy was part of the Doon management team last year that won their first Limerick senior hurling championship title. Jody Hannon, brother of Limerick senior hurler Declan Hannon, and Bruree clubman Brian Sexton are also part of this year's minor management team.

Hannon and Sexton were involved with the academy squads last year. Liam Reale has been involved with the Castletroy College Dr Harty Cup team.

Newcastle West's Scoil Mhuire agus Ide won the All-Ireland Senior ‘C’ post primary hurling championship this month.
