LIMERICK'S Allianz Hurling League clash with Kilkenny has been rescheduled. The round four Allianz Hurling League fixture will now take place on March 15 at 3:30pm in UPMC Nowlan Park.
Last Sunday's scheduled clash between Limerick and Kilkenny in Division 1A of the Allianz Hurling League was called off due to an unplayable pitch at UPMC Nowlan Park caused by the recent heavy rain. The decision to postpone the Round four fixture was announced on Sunday morning.
John Kiely's side will now be in action over the next four weekends in Division 1A. This weekend the Shannonsiders face neighbours Clare on Sunday at 3:45pm. Six days later, Limerick host Galway in the TUS Gaelic Grounds on March 8 at 7:30pm.
The reigning Munster champions will then travel to Kilkenny on the Saturday of St Patrick's weekend. Limerick will then finish off their Allianz Hurling League campaign against Wexford on March 22 at the Ennis road venue. The 2023 All-Ireland champions still remain in contention to reach this year's league final.
Meanwhile, the Division 1A Allianz Hurling League final has been scheduled for the weekend of April 5/6.
