EIGHT teams remain in the hunt to win this year's Dr Harty Cup. Ardscoil Rís remain the only Limerick team left in the competition.

The city based school take on Thurles CBS on Wednesday at 1:30pm in Newport GAA Grounds.Niall Crowe's charges recorded victories over Castletroy College, Our Lady's College Templemore and Colaiste Choilm during their group campaign.

Adare clubman Patrick Kearney has been in impressive form scoring 2-23 for Ardscoil Rís throughout the U19 post-primary hurling competition.

Darragh Jordan, Adam Fitzsimmons, Sean Morrissey, Eoin Brosnan, Darragh Gleeson, Jack Cosgrave, Conor Ryan, Ronan Benson, Oisin O'Byrne and John O'Keefe are some of the other Limerick players that have stood out during the Harty Cup.

The north circular road outfit last won the Dr Harty Cup in 2018 and they now look like strong contenders to win this competition for the first time in six years.Thurles CBS defeated Our Lady's College Templemore in the preliminary quarter-final to reach the last eight.

Niall Crowe is joined by Fergal Lyons, Alan Neville, Cian O'Brien and Dave Foley on the Ardscoil Rís Harty Cup managament team.

CBC Cork face De La Salle Waterford, St Flannans Ennis take on CBC Cork and Cashel Community School meet Gaelcholáiste Mhuire AG in the remaining three quarter-finals of the Dr Harty Cup.

The semi-finals of the Dr Harty Cup will take place on January 18 with the final taking place on February 1.

The two teams that reach the final of the Munster post-primary competition will also advance onto the All-Ireland series.
Four Limerick schools were involved in this season's Harty Cup.

Castletroy College and Don failed to advance from the group stages. St Flannans Ennis had too much for John the Baptist Community School in the preliminary quarter-final.
