Limerick's Árdscoil Rís learn Dr Harty Cup quarter-final opponents

LIMERICK side Árdscoil Rís have learned their Dr Harty Cup, Munster post primary schools U19 'A' hurling, quarter-final opponents.

2024 Harty Cup finalists Árdscoil will face Thurles CBS in a mouth-watering last eight clash on January 8, 2025.

Árdscoil Rís advanced directly to to the quarter-finals of the Dr Harty Cup after recording three wins from three in the group stages, securing wins against local rivals Castletroy College as well as Our Lady's Templemore and Coláiste Choilm, Ballincollig.

Quarter-final opponents Thurles drew their opening fixture against St Flannan's in three-team Group 6 before defeating Tralee CBS in their second round robin fixture.

The results saw Thurles edged into second place in the group behind St Flannan's College. As a result the Tipperary side faced a preliminary quarter-final last week when they defeated local rivals Our Lady's Templemore 1-21 to 1-6 to secure their passage into the quarter-finals.

The winners of the Dr Harty Cup quarter-finals on January 8 will advance to the semi-finals which are due to take place on January 18. The final of the Harty Cup is scheduled to be played on February 1.

QF 1 – Midleton CBS v St Flannans Ennis
QF 2 – Cashel CS v Gaelcholaiste Mhuire AG
QF 3 – Árdscoil Rís v Thurles CBS
QF 4 – CBC Cork v De La Salle Waterford

Semi-Final Draw – Winner QF1 v Winner QF2 and Winner QF3 v Winner QF4
