FORMER Limerick hurling star David Breen has been appointed as the rehabilitation first team physio of the Liverpool FC. Limerick supporters will now be looking out for David Breen on television when Liverpool are in action during the Premier League and Champions League this year.
David Breen has been a building an impressive CV in recent years. In the last ten months, the Limerick man has worked as physio of the Republic of Ireland senior soccer team. The Na Piarsaigh clubman was previously involved with the Harlequins rugby team in the English Rugby Premiership from August 2023 until November 2024.
Before that, David Breen has worked as physio of the Munster rugby first team, Man City academy, Leinster rugby academy and the Celtic FC youth team.
In the last decade, Breen has been part of the Na Piarsaigh senior hurling team. The 39 year-old won five Limerick senior hurling championships and four Munster senior hurling championship titles.
In 2016, Breen played a key part on the Na Piarsaigh team that went onto win the All-Ireland senior hurling championship. The physio lined out for the Limerick senior hurlers from 2009 until 2015.
David Breen is the brother of Adrian Breen who was part of the Na Piarsaigh senior hurling team this year.
Na Piarsaigh's posted the news of David Breen's appointment.
