TWO Limerick clubs are in action today in the Munster club hurling championship.
Doon won their first Limerick senior hurling championship last weekend. Derek McGrath's charges face Ballygunner in the Munster senior hurling championship quarter-final today at 4pm in the TUS Gaelic Grounds. The Munster SHC quarter-final will be shown live on TG4.
Ballygunner were last defeated in the Munster senior hurling championship in 2019. It is a quickaround for Doon but McGrath will hope his side can continue their momentum.
Newcastle West take on Cashel King Cormacs of Tipperary in the Munster intermediate hurling championship quarter-final at 1:15pm in Newcastle West. Last weekend the 'Magpies won the premier intermediate hurling championship.
Meanwhile, Feenagh-Kilmeedy were narrowly defeated by Kilrossanty 0-19 to 0-17 in the Munster junior hurling championship quarter-final.
There are three trophies up for grabs today in the Limerick club football championships.
Adare and Fr Casey's battle it out for the Limerick senior football championship title at 4pm in Mick Neville Park. Rathkeale take on Galbally in the Intermediate football championship final at 1pm in Ballyagran.
Mungret St Paul's meet St Kieran's in the junior 'B' football championship final at 12pm in Askeaton. Kildimo Pallaskenry face Ballybrown this evening at 7pm in the junior 'B' hurling championship decider at 7pm in Drumgoole Park, Caherdavin.
Newcastle West came up short against Gaultier in the Munster camogie championship semi-final. The Waterford champions won out on a final scoreline of 2-16 to 0-9.
