CASTLECONNELL village business interests are coming together under the banner of the ACM business hub to promote the village as a destination for local shopping this Christmas.
Agnes Relihan of Innovate Limerick explained that the ACM Hub is part of the Engine Hubs network, which is run by Innovate Limerick.
Earlier in the year, Innovate Engine Hubs were selected to be part of a pilot project run by the Department of Rural and Community affairs and Connected hubs, Ireland's hubs network to focus on the digitisation of rural towns.
One aspect of the project is to run a Support/Love Your Town Campaign for Christmas and Castleconnell is to be featured this year.
John MacNamara of the ACM business hub said that they were delighted to be part of the scheme.
“Castleconnell has so much to offer in terms of variety for Christmas shopping, we literally have everything from a butcher to a candlestick maker and all things in between. We will be running a digital campaign across all our social channels and we will be highlighting some of the great offerings that the village has”.
