Limerick motorway closed following ‘serious’ road traffic incident

Emergency services are at the scene between the Raheen and Dooradoyle junctions
THE M20 Limerick to Cork road is closed for motorists heading in the direction of the city this Sunday evening following a “serious” road traffic incident.
It occurred shortly before 6pm between Junction 3 Raheen and Junction 2 Dooradoyle. Emergency services have responded to the scene.
Road users are being asked to divert at Junction 4 Patrickswell for alternative routes. There are reports of long traffic delays. Motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible.
A TII spokesperson said: “Delays to your journey will occur. Consider a different journey route or start time.
“When approaching the collision location, drive with caution, reduce your speed and obey instructions from emergency services.”
