The Covid-19 test centre in Limerick will relocate from next Monday
THE Health Service Executive is advising members of the public that the Covid-19 test centre in Limerick is to be relocated from next week.
Currently, the centre is located at the former Wickes building at Ballysimon Road on the outskirts of the city.
At its peak, the drive-through facility, which opened in October 2020, was able to cater for around 1,000 tests a day before the roll-out of Covid-19 vaccines.
A spokesperson for HSE Mid West Community Healthcare confirmed the test centre will relocate to an interim site at St Joseph's Health Campus, Mulgrave Street, Limerick from Monday next, December 5.
"The test centre at St. Joseph's Health Campus will continue to offer appointments seven days a week. Testing capacity at the transferred facility will remain the same," he said.
Appointments at the new centre will be available via the self-referral portal on the HSE website or by GP referral for those who require it he said.
