Busy Limerick post office unable to open due to circumstances beyond control

Castletroy Post Office located in Castletroy Town Centre

A POST office in a busy Limerick shopping centre is currently unable to open, a spokesperson for An Post confirmed.

The post office located in Casteltroy Town Centre is closed from today, Monday with a view to reopening as soon as possible.

A spokesperson for An Post said: “[The post office] closed today due to circumstances beyond An Post’s control. [We are] currently working to have the office reopened as soon as we can.”

Fine Gael and Castletroy-based TD for Limerick city Kieran O’Donnell commented: “I have impressed upon An Post the urgent need to ensure Castletroy Post Office in Castletroy Shopping Centre is re-opened immediately.

“They have given me the firm commitment that this will happen by tomorrow Tuesday, November 29 or by the following day Wednesday, November 30 at the latest," Deputy O'Donnell said.

In reply to a query from Limerick Live, a spokesperson for An Post said further details regarding the post office will be confirmed as soon as possible
