UL Student Life, the University of Limerick student representative body, has been ranked the number one student body in the country.
UL Student Life was ranked number one as part of a survey taking feedback from 194,223 international students.
The group was also ranked second in Ireland and the UK and ninth in the world under the support category.
“The results are really positive and it is great to see that we are ‘doing right’ in the flesh,” international education division (IED) student support officer Yvonne Crosse said.
The collaborative efforts made by both IED and UL Student Life are reflected in the results, reiterating the importance for the groups to continue working together to improve the student experience, she added.
The results are “extremely rewarding” for the UL Student Life team, according to UL Student Life general manager Martin Ryan.
“In 2018 we embarked in a rebrand to ensure that all 15,000 UL students know that we were here to support them in all areas of life; representation, information and support, events and clubs societies.”
The latest ranking shows that students are beginning to understand what the organisation can do for them, he added.
