THIRTY students are to set to make their debut on the runway alongside the Celia Holman Lee Agency models as the Laurel Hill Annual Gala Fashion show returns this March 7.
The annual fashion show, a joint venture run by the Parents Council of Laurel Hill Secondary School and Laurel Hill Coláiste FCJ, will showcase the best of Limerick’s fashion houses at the Strand Hotel on the Ennis Road.
Running now for more than 40 years, the Laurel Hill Annual Fashion show is the largest such event in Munster attracting more than 450 people to view the style.
Funds raised on the night will be used to the benefit of Laurel Hill and Coláiste students.
With a door prize sponsored this year by Keane’s Jewellers, Niall Colgan Hairdressing will be styling the hair for the event, and make-up will be by Brown Thomas and Catherine Hickey.
Sunglasses to be showcased at the event have been provided by Hartman’s Opticians on O’Connell Street.
Students taking part in this year’s show will model fashion from Brown Thomas and Pamela Scotts.
Teachers will also take to the runway on the night in fashions from Connolly Man, an annual favourite with all the students of both schools.
Fashion on the night will be provided by Sinead’s Boutique Annacotty, Aimee’s, Mint, Dani’s Closet, Virginia’s, Lady Penelope Adare, Zipyard, Catherine McCormack, Stitch and Pamela Scott.
The clothes for the launch of the event were supplied by Mint and Dani’s Closet.
According to the Parents Council, the show is generously supported by local businesses and fashion houses.
Tickets are priced at €15 and are available from both schools which can be contacted on (061) 323636/319383 or from members of the Parents Council. For further details contact Bridgeen McCarthy 086 8251196 or Elaine Herdman 086 0668108.
