Ryanair lays on special flights from Shannon for Munster quarter-final

A number of flights will be Edinburgh-bound from Shannon Airport

BUDGET airline Ryanair has laid on special return flights for Munster fans travelling to the province’s European quarter-final against Edinburgh.

With the game set for Saturday, March 30, kick off 12.45pm, the flights take off from Shannon, Cork and Dublin the day before to the Scottish capital.

And they will return from return from Edinburgh Saturday 30, and Sunday 31 of March.

Thousands of supporters are expected to make the journey across the Irish Sea to the crunch tie at Murrayfield.

Fans can fly between Shannon and Edinburgh at 4.40pm and 8pm on March 29, and back on March 31 at 12noon and 3.20pm.

Elsewhere, flights leave from Cork to Edinburgh at 6.30pm and 8.25pm on the Friday, returning the Sunday at 1.15pm and 4.45pm. There’s also a flight to Cork the Saturday night, leaving at 8.45pm.

Meanwhile, Edinburgh-bound flights from Dublin leave on Friday, March 29 at 4.35pm and 7.45pm, returning on Sunday, March 31 at 11.30am and 2.45pm.

Fans are being advised to log onto www.ryanair.com now to ensure they don’t miss out.

Robin Kiely, Ryanair said: “We’ve launched special rugby flights for Munster v Edinburgh after huge demand. These rugby specials are on sale now, so Munster fans should beat the scrum and log on to www.ryanair.com today.”
