GARY McNamara, the son of Limerick Euromillions jackpot winner Dolores, has bought a hotel in Killaloe, in a move which may save 40 jobs.

Gary, who owns Tinerana House in Killaloe and is understood to be farming in the locality, has bought the Killaloe Hotel, which closed recently.

Media reports suggest the 32-bed boutique hotel has been purchased as a going concern, while existing jobs will be retained and all bookings will be honoured when it re-opens next Monday, January 21.

Its accommodation includes 32 en suite bedrooms as well as a function room with 150 seat capacity, a bar, restaurant and two kitchens.

All bookings will be honoured when the hotel re-opens, the new management team at the hotel have said.
