Baby Mary is the first born in Limerick in 2019

UNIVERSITY Maternity Hospital Limerick has announced that the first baby to be born in the Mid-West region in 2019 was little Mary McKenna this New Year’s morning. 

Proud parents Conor and Aisling McKenna, from Miltown Malbay, County Clare, welcomed their bundle of joy into the world at 2.20am on Tuesday morning.

Weighing at seven pounds and two ounces, both the mother and baby are said to be doing well. 

The second New Year’s baby—a boy from Tipperary—at UMHL was delivered at 4am.
