Michal Rejmer, who was killed in Castletroy in 2015
DOONEEN Athletic Club has launched a second series of runs in memory of Michal Rejmer, who was killed in Limerick in 2015.
The talented athlete was a dedicated and popular member of Dooneen and the club started the series to honour the Polish athlete’s legacy.
Olympian Thomas Barr officially launched the weekly five mile runs. They will start on April 6 and take place on April 13, April 20 and April 27. All races start at 7pm from the Country Club, Old Cratloe Road.
This series of runs will coincide with anyone preparing to run in the six mile, half or full marathon at the Great Limerick Run. The launch was held in University of Limerick where Dooneen senior coach Joe Chawke holds a training session every Tuesday and Thursday beginning at 6.45pm at the track.
This is open to all fitness levels and newcomers.
