Tributes paid to 'caring and kind' Limerick radiographer

TRIBUTES have been paid to former radiographer at Barringtons Hospital Ann Reidy, who passed away this week. 

Ann, from Abbey Avenue, Corbally, died suddenly on Tuesday. 

Leading tributes to the former Barringtons staff member, Senator Maria Byrne said that she “had a major impact on the Limerick community”. 

Sen Byrne said that she a “long association” with the Fine Gael party, and that she was a “lovely, caring and kind woman”. 

She said that when people were getting x-rays at the George’s Quay hospital, “they felt very much at ease because she was very caring”. 

Ann regularly got involved with charities in the community, and was involved with the Hunt Museum. 

“Her loss will be felt across the Limerick community. She did so much work for others,” Sen Byrne told the Limerick Leader. 

Deeply regretted by her loving husband Paddy, sister Joan, sister-in-law Beatrice, nieces, nephew, relatives and many friends.

Remains arriving at St. Munchin’s College Chapel, Corbally on Thursday (Nov. 30th) at 7pm. Funeral on Friday (Dec. 1st) after 11am Mass to Mount St. Lawrence Extension Cemetery.
