TRANSITION Year students from the Salesian Secondary College in Pallaskenry will strut their stuff with professional models on the catwalk for the school’s annual fashion show, which takes place next Thursday.

All the funds raised from this year’s event will be used to build new classrooms to cater for the growing student numbers.

The fashion show, now in its ninth year, has become an annual event on the school calendar and will see Transition Year students, teachers, celebrity guests and models from Glamour the Agency take to the catwalk modelling this season’s Spring/Summer collections.

“We are looking forward to a fantastic night as it brings friends, parents, students and teachers to a great colourful and exciting event,” said principal Paddy O'Neill.

“It also of course gives everyone a chance to dress up and look like a million dollars and also an opportunity to view the fantastic fashion that is available in our shops in Limerick City and County. We need the support of all our parents, past pupils and friends in a financial way and what better way to do this than come to our Fashion Show  and enjoy a great evening out.”

Among the boutiques showcasing their wares on the night will be Lady Penelope, Sash, Bella Sola, Joanne’s, Footprints by Laura Shoe Boutique, Gretta Gibbs, Pamela Scotts, Esquire Dress Hire, John Deignan, Lady Muck, Penney's, Patsy’s Boutique, Ela Maria's, Noels, Virginia's, Stitch, B Fabulous,  Aishling Maher,  Annette’s Boutique, Ivory Closet and No 15.

The fashion show takes place on March 10 at 8pm in the Woodlands Hotel, Adare. Tickets can be purchased from the school at 061 393105. There will be great raffle and door prizes up for grabs on the night. Tickets cost €15 for an adult, €7 for a student and €40 for a family.
