THE home where Dolores McNamara lived when she became Europe’s biggest lottery winner has gone up for rent.

The modest four-bedroomed dormer house on St Patrick’s Road in Limerick city is available to rent for €1,000 a month.

It is described as a “stunning property” by Simply Rent, the Mulgrave Street property firm letting the home.

Upon winning €115m on the Euromillions, former Limerick Youth Service cleaner Dolores McNamara refurbished the home with a new boundary wall, electric gates and a fitted kitchen.

It is available now unfurnished with new wooden floors throughout and fitted blinds.

The estate agent says: “The accommodation has been completely refurbished with no stone left unturned and benefits from newly fitted timber floors throughout, new blinds to all windows, the property has newly fitted powered electric gates to make for off road access.”

The property, the company adds, is close to the city centre, as well as the Childers Road Retail Park and the Parkway Shopping Centre.

Following her massive win, Dolores – who keeps a low profile – moved out of the city, paying a reported €1.7m for Lough Derg Hall at Ogonnelloe, Killaloe. She also bought nearby Tinarana House for €3.5m amid a fierce bidding war in December 2012, securing a huge write-down from its last purchase.
