LIMERICK hurling hero Shane Dowling and his long-term partner Paula Donnelly celebrated a magical Christmas wedding this Friday.
The happy couple were married in Doolin, Co Clare surrounded by family and friends.
It's a third successive Christmas full of celebrations for the newlyweds - in December 2022, they announced their engagement after a romantic proposal at Adare Manor and on December 11, 2023, they welcomed baby Tommy into the world.
At this Friday's wedding Shane, who was recalled to the Limerick senior hurling panel earlier this month after battling back from injury, had some team-mates from the Na Piarsaigh and Limerick hurling teams among his groomsmen.
Paula had some of her former Limerick and St Ailbes Ladies Football team-mates at close quarters.
The wedding reception was held at Hotel Doolin, with popular Limerick and Bruff GAA official and referee Richard Moloney the DJ for the night.

Both Shane and Paula shared pictures with their social media followers this Saturday. Photography on the day was by Olga of Mrs RedHead Photography.
"A special day" wrote Shane under a picture of the couple in front of the Doonagore Castle, outside Doolin.
Paula wrote "The Dowlings" under her picture of the couple sharing a kiss for the camera at the door of the church.
Just last week it was confirmed, four and a half years after calling time on his inter-county career due to injury, Shane will make a remarkable return to the Limerick senior hurling panel next season.
2018 All-Ireland SHC winner Shane, who turns 32 in February, has worked as a pundit with RTE across the last number of years and RTE GAA commentator Marty Morrissey was among those to celebrate with the newlyweds in Doolin.
