AFFORDABLE three and four-bedroom houses are being “actively considered” by the Council for one county Limerick town.

Limerick City and County Council have proposed a development of 28 affordable houses at Glenfield, Kilmallock. Potential buyers who earn between €50,000 and €75,000 per annum are eligible to apply now.

The proposed development contains 16 three-bedroom and 12 four-bedroom, semi-detached and terraced houses. Plans for the “beautifully designed” one-storey houses include rear gardens.

They will also be “conveniently located”, situated approximately 0.5km from Coláiste Iósaef Community College and 1.5km from Kilmallock GAA Club, and will be accessible from the Glenfield road.

The public are invited to express their interest in an online survey before the closing date of Friday, November 22.

“In advance of progressing an Affordable Housing Scheme, the council wishes to establish that there is a sufficient level of interest,” a statement by Limerick City and County Council reads.

The Council also wishes to remind the public that completion of the interest survey “does not imply eligibility”, nor is it “a waiting list”.
