Limerick Fire and Rescue Service tackle blaze at commercial premises

Three units of Limerick Fire and Rescue Service were deployed to the scene

LIMERICK Fire and Rescue Service tackled a blaze at a commercial premises on the outskirts of the city this Wednesday afternoon.

Three appliances from Mulgrave Street attended the fire in Annacotty.

They received the call out just after 1pm, and remained on the scene for almost two hours.

Firefighters quickly isolated the blaze, made the area safe and quenched the fire.

It is understood that extensive damage was caused to goods stored at the location.

Limerick Fire and Rescue Service personnel returned to base at 2.51pm.

It is not known how the fire started.

No injuries have been reported
