A MAN, aged in his 20s, who was arrested as part of the investigation into the fatal assault of a man in Knockanure, County Kerry, in the early hours of Monday morning has been released without charge.
"A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions," said a garda spokesperson this Wednesday.

Knockanure is located only a couple of miles from the Kerry / Limerick border. The deceased has been named locally as Gerard Kennelly, aged in his 40s.
A Limerick man, aged in his 30s, was charged in relation to the fatal assault of MrKennelly at a special sitting of Listowel District Court on Tuesday evening.
Mr Kennelly of Gortdromagowna, Knockanure was a father-of-one.
