 
									GARDAI have arrested and charged a teenager in connection with an early-morning arson attack on a Limerick home.
A garda spokesperson confirmed to Limerick Live they are investigating an incident of criminal damage by fire.
"It occurred at a domestic residence in the Prospect area of Limerick city on Tuesday, April 16.
"A man, aged in his late teens, who was arrested in relation to the incident, has since been charged and was expected to appear at Limerick District Court this morning, Wednesday April 17," said the garda spokesperson.

"As this matter is now before the courts there is no further information available," concluded the garda spokesperson.
Videos of the arson attack and of a male being arrested in the middle of the road have been widely shared on social media.
Limerick Live understands gardai swooped on the teenager and arrested him seconds after the incident on the Hyde Road.
