Emergency services respond to serious collision in County Limerick

A SERIOUS road traffic collision has occurred in County Limerick, with emergency services on scene. 

Two Units for Limerick Fire Service are currently on the scene of the collision in Kilmallock, on the Charleville Road, having received a call at approximately 3.10 this Friday.

Major traffic disruptions are causing delays throughout the town and surrounding areas, with long tailbacks on the Charleville Road.

According to a spokesperson for the Fire Service, the extent of the injuries are not known at this time.

Bus routes in the area have also been disrupted, with delays on the 520 service from Kilmallock to Charleville.

A statement from Transport for Ireland has stated that a detour is in operation at the moment.
