THE national airwaves will gain a new voice today in the form of Limerick's Louise Cantillon!

The proud gaeilgeoir starts her new prime-time weekday lunchtime show on Today FM on Monday.

The show will air from 12-2pm and will feature the best new music as well as some cúpla focal from the former Spin South West presenter.

When news of the new show was announced, Louise said it was "the biggest break" of her career.

The Kilcornan native has been heard on the radio station since 2022 featuring on both the daytime and weekend schedule.

Speaking at the time of the announcement Louise said: "I just can’t wait to get stuck in and have the best fun, play great ceol and use a cúpla focal with the lunchtime listeners. Roll on January 24."

The Junior Eurovision host is gearing up for her new show after a busy end to the year attending the Munster Rugby match in Thomond Park and celebrating her sister Niamh's engagement.

The former Irish and PE teacher began her career in radio with Spin South West, while she was still in college.

In 2023, Louise married All-Ireland winning hurler Declan Hannon surrounded by their family and friends at Adare Manor.
