Chef Neven Maguire in Adare for a festive TV show
A TWO-PART series, featuring a celebrity chef in a rural Limerick village, is set to air on RTÉ.
Chef Neven Maguire brings special Christmas recipes to Limerick this year, as he cooks “easy and festive” dishes in the world-renowned Adare Manor.
The two-part series begins on RTÉ One on Thursday, December 7 at 8pm and will feature Neven’s visit to Adare Manor’s Michelin starred restaurant, The Oak Room, where he chats about food at Christmas with head chef, Mike Tweedie.
Later in Adare village, Neven visits The Good Room Café, where owner Claire Staunton and her team have desserts for Neven to try, inspired by local flavours, traditions, and a true sense of community.
In this first Christmas special, Neven prepares Dublin Bay prawn spring rolls with mango salsa.
His main course is turkey breast with citrus butter, honey glazed ham and mashed potato, brussel sprouts, red onion and bacon crumble and honey glazed carrots.
Dessert is a chocolate baked alaska.
“I couldn’t be more excited to share this festive season with you all,” said Neven.
“Christmas is a special time of year, and the power of food to bring people together, and create lasting memories, is something I hold dear.
“I hope the show brings inspiration this season.”
