In Pictures: Limerick's Andy Lee finds himself among one of greatest sporting lineups ever

LIMERICK boxing legend Andy Lee has been rubbing shoulders with sporting royalty ahead of Tyson Fury's fight in Saudi Arabia this weekend. 

The Castleconnell man, who is a part of Fury's backroom team, has travelled to the Middle East for the current heavyweight champion's bout with former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou this Saturday night.

Ahead of the event, the former WBO middleweight champion attended the Champion's Dinner with some of the biggest names in sport.

Andy shared pictures on Instagram of himself smiling alongside Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo as well two-time World Cup winner with Brazil, Ronaldo. 

The 37 year-old shared a carousel of pics that would make any boxing fan jealous as he met the likes of Amir Khan, Joe Calzaghe, Roy Jones Jr, Robin Reid and Oleksandr Usyk. 

Andy could also be seen beaming beside the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time, Mike Tyson and the only eight-division world champion in the history of boxing, Manny Pacquiao.

One of the pictures also featured Prince Nazeem Hamed, who has been described as "one of the biggest stars of the sport" due to his performance in the ring and his antics outside.

Andy's Instagram followers were "blown away" by the some of the names he had gotten the opportunity to meet.

One left a comment saying: "The greatest photo album of all time" while another described the photos as "insane stuff". 

Although others pointed out that the sporting legends should have counted themselves lucky to have met Andy! 

One person commented: "great all them lads taking a photo with the legend" and another asked: "Whose that in the picture with Andy Lee?".
