BUS Éireann has introduced improved services between Limerick city and a number of towns and villages in the county.
Route 329, which connects the city and Kilfinane, has been significantly enhanced as part of the Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan - a major national public transport initiative developed and funded by the National Transport Authority as part of the Transport for Ireland Network.
There are now eight daily return services between Kilfinane and Limerick with an enhanced timetable which includes earlier and later departures.
The first services will now depart Limerick at 6am and Kilfinane at 6.15am, while later departures will be from Limerick at 8pm and Kilfinane at 7.15pm. The improved service will also offer five daily services on Sundays and Public Holidays for the first time.
Bus Éireann Route 329 serves Kilfinane, Kilmallock, Bruff, Grange, Ballyneety, Drombana, Killmallock Road, Roxboro Road, Limerick City and Colbert Station.

“Bus Éireann is delighted to introduce these improved services between Kilfinane and Limerick, significantly improving Route 329, particularly for those passengers travelling at the weekend or connecting with regional or rail services,” said Brian Connolly, Bus Éireann, Senior Operations Manager, West.
“Thanks to the National Transport Authority, through the Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan we have added over 2 million kilometres to our network and have created over 65 new jobs. Demand for our services in the West is higher now than pre-pandemic, passenger numbers nationally are 20-30% higher than they were in 2019. This enhanced service will enable us to connect our growing number of customers with who and what matters to them," he added.
Maura Quane, Corporate Manager at Ballyhoura Development has welcomed the enhancement of Route 329. “Ballyhoura Development are delighted with the announcement of enhancement of services to the Bus Éireann Kilfinane to Limerick route. These additional services will further support residents with employment and educational opportunities and will add to the vibrancy of Kilfinane, which has so much to offer visitors and residents alike.”
