Man arrested over 'multiple thefts and burglaries' in Limerick

GARDAI have arrested and charged a man in relation to an investigation into multiple thefts and burglaries in Limerick. 

The offences occurred in Castletroy between June and August 2023.

A garda spokesperson said: "The man, aged in his 30s, was arrested yesterday, Wednesday, August 30, by gardaí on high visibility patrols in the Castletroy area. The man was found to be in possession of a number of items of stolen property.

"He was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station in in Limerick and has since been charged."

The man is due to appear before a special sitting of Tralee District Court this Thursday morning at 11am.

Investigations are ongoing.
