STARS of stage, screen and the field will descend on Limerick this week for a new exciting celebrity charity golf tournament.
Fairway's Fore Hope is a private event that will take place at Adare Manor this Tuesday and Wednesday with some big names taking to the course to raise money for some worthwhile causes.
The closed event will not be open to spectators and tickets have not been released for the public to attend the charity tournament.
In February, the organisers announced some big names who would be attending including Olympic medal winner Michael Conlan, ex footballer Liam Brady and ex-Ireland, Lions and Leinster rugby player Rob Kearney.
Actors Kevin Rahm, Justin Whelan and Michael Pena will join Irish singers Keith Duffy, Ronan Keating and Brian McFadden on the fairways.
Other big names on the list include ex NFL quarterback Jim Kelly, Jamie Redknapp and Peter Schmeichel.
The Rainbow Club Cork is one of the charities who will benefit. The group is a lifeline to families, children, young teens and adults living with autism.
The club supports their needs in coping with the world and challenges they face on a daily basis.
The other worthwhile cause is Hunter's Hope Foundation which was established to address the acute need for information and research with respect to Krabbe Disease and related Leukodystrophies.
Their mission is to strive to support and encourage those afflicted and their families as they struggle to endure, adjust and cope with the demands of these fatal illnesses.
