In Pictures: Craic agus ceoil in Limerick town for Fleadh by the Feale

RIVERFEST and the Regeneron Great Limerick Run are not the only fun-filled events taking place in Limerick this bank holiday weekend.

In west Limerick, the traditional music festival, Fleadh by the Feale is taking place in Abbeyfeale for its 29th year.

The festival, which continues until Monday, celebrates Irish music, dance and culture, and welcomes both "existing and new visitors every year."

From busking competitions, art exhibitions and céilís, to workshops, trad sessions and concerts, the organisers say town "has a lot to offer over the the weekend."

Another of the main unique events to take place during the Fleadh festival, is the bone playing competition which continues to welcome newcomers each year, with a workshop on playing on Monday at 4pm.
