Rock thrown through window causes significant damage to Limerick apartment

A HUGE rock was thrown through the window of a Limerick city apartment, causing significant damage.

The incident happened on Friday, March 31 at Castlecourt Apartments on Broad Street at 10:20pm.

The rock completely smashed the window and caused significant damage to the apartment.

The tenant who lives in the apartment was in the living area at the time and thankfully was not injured.

However, Garda John Finnerty from Henry Street Garda Station said it was a very frightening ordeal for the man.

"There would have been many pedestrians around Broad St at 10.20pm last Friday evening.

"If you were one of them and you seen this event unfolding, then please contact the Gardai at Henry St Garda Station who are investigating. The contact number is 061 212400. You can also call the Garda confidential line at 1800 666 111."
