Emergency services attend the scene of a house fire in Limerick city

EMERGENCY services are at the scene of a house fire in Limerick city.

Three units from Limerick Fire and Rescue and gardaí have the incident under control but remain at the scene. 

The fire is believed to have occurred in a converted garage of a semi-detached house on the South Circular Road.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident shortly after 10am this Wednesday morning.

The road remains closed.

It is believed that no one was injured following the incident.
