A WOMAN in her 30s had her wallet stolen from her car outside her home in a Limerick suburb.

The woman parked her car in the driveway of her house in Briarfield. The following morning she discovered that she had not locked her car properly and her wallet had been taken from it overnight.

There was a five-euro note in her wallet but it also contained her driver's license, passport and bankcards along with other cards.

Sergeant Ber Leetch said: "We all know the cost and the annoyance of having to replace all of those items.

"The lady may have thought that her car was locked but you must check by pulling the car door handle and don’t leave anything of value in your car".
