THREE organisations in Limerick are set to benefit from €25k each from one philanthropic fund.

The Ireland Funds has announced grants totalling €75,000 which will be distributed between Children’s Grief Centre, Irish Chamber Orchestra and Learning Hub Limerick.

These organisations provide essential services to children experiencing poverty, marginalisation, and difficult circumstances.

Each organisation will receive €25,000 to support their work.

The grants are strategically allocated as a quick response at a time of year when the challenges faced by those experiencing hardship are amplified.

Caitriona Fottrell, president and CEO of The Ireland Funds said: "This grant round reflects The Ireland Funds’ commitment to helping those facing extraordinary challenges.

"Through philanthropy, we bridge resource gaps, partnering with exceptional organisations to address critical needs of people living in difficult situations. We are deeply appreciative of our donors whose generosity makes this response possible."

Children's Grief Centre is a free support service for children and young people affected by loss, through death, parental separation and divorce.

€25,000 will support an outreach programme to make grief support accessible to children in disadvantaged areas of Limerick who cannot attend its centre with provision of part-time support worker for three local schools.

Irish Chamber Orchestra (ICO) supports over 450 children from disadvantaged areas with weekly music lessons, helping them build life skills, self-confidence, and a sense of belonging, while addressing the challenges of poverty, homelessness, and family instability.

Learning Hub Limerick continues providing high-quality educational experiences for young people in Limerick who face socio-economic disadvantage, helping them build the confidence and skills needed for future success.

The €25k grand will cover rising operational costs, including classroom supplies, equipment, and transport, ensuring that no child is excluded due to financial constraints.

By investing in these services, The Ireland Funds aims to nurture communities where every child has the opportunity to thrive.
