LIMERICK premier Junior 'A' champions Ahane turn their attention to a Munster semi-final against Buttevant of Cork on Saturday afternoon.
The Munster Junior Football Championship semi-final gets underway at 1:30pm in Kildorrery GAA Grounds, Co. Cork. The game will streamed on Clubber TV.
Ballymacelligott of Kerry and Clonmel Óg of Tipperary meet in the other Munster JFC semi-final on Saturday in Clonmel at 1pm.
Ahane secured back-to-back promotions when they defeated Fr Casey's in the Premier Junior 'A' final by the minimum. Ex Irish Rugby international Sean Cronin has impressed in defence for Ahane. Former Irish Rugby international Ian Keatley missed Ahane's county final through injury.

Former Clare footballer Gary Brennan is in charge of the east Limerick side, while former Limerick footballer Ian Ryan is the coach of Buttevant. The Cork champions recorded a comprehensive 3-21 to 0-5 victory over Shamrocks of Waterford in Munster JFC quarter-final.
Cronin compared the achievement to some of the most memorable highlights of his rugby career.
“They’re very similar. It’s probably even a bit more special because my kids are here, the community kind of buy in and there was a great buzz."
“They are special days. You see any inter-county player when they achieve something with their club they always say it means a hell of a lot to them, this is the same as well,” added the three-time Six Nations winner.
The former Ireland hooker isn't ready to make any decisions about his playing plans for 2026.
“It’s brilliant and it’s going to be a big challenge next year. That’s another step up, I felt that this year going from junior ‘A’ to premier junior.I’ll make a decision on whether to hang up the boots, we’ll see over the next weeks and months.”
