Both Ballylanders and Na Piarsaigh finished bottom of their respective groups.

Both sides, however, did have the chance to avoid this year's relegation play-off last weekend.

Na Piarsaigh took on Kildimo-Pallaskenry in the first relegation play-off semi-final in Mungret, but were unable to overcome their West Limerick opponents.

Kildimo-Pallaskenry, led by the likes of Peter Nash, Tony McCarthy and Gary Sheehan, who propelled their side impressively and ultimately to victory.

The win saw Kildimo-Pallaskenry avoid this year's relegation play-off decider.

Ballylanders pushed Oola all the way in the other relegation play-off semi-final but fell agonisingly short in Ballyagran.

Jack Downey’s late point proved decisive as Oola held off a second-half rally from the South Limerick men to secure a precious victory.

Ballylanders showed great resilience, despite being reduced to 14 men, but ultimately fell short on a scoreline of 2-8 to 1-10.

The Limerick Intermediate semi-finals are also set to be played over the coming week.

Sean Finn Park in Rathkeale will host the first final four pairing between St Senan's and Cappagh with a throw-in time of 2pm on Saturday.

Rhebogue will host the competition's other semi-final pairing with Galbally facing Askeaton-Ballysteen-Kilcornan on Tuesday night, November 4, throw-in is at 8pm.
