Five Limerick players included in Tailteann Cup Team of the Week

Five Limerick players have been included in this week's GAA.ie Tailteann Cup Team of the Week.

Limerick are well represented after their historic win against Wicklow on Sunday afternoon. Jimmy Lee's side staged a remarkable comeback in the final 20 minutes to win by four points, on a scoreline of 2-18 to 1-17. 

Josh Ryan is included in goals after a heroic performance which included a second-half penalty save and as well as four points for the Oola native (two two-point efforts).

Jason Hassett and Tony McCarthy are included in defense for their contributions. Hassett was solid throughout whilst McCarthy kicked two fine scores from wing-back. 

Barry Coleman is included at centre-forward for his performance. The Rathkeale native was introduced as a second-half substitute and kicked two vital points for the Shannonsiders.

Danny Neville was also included for his contribution of 1-2. The lively full-forward finished smartly to the back of the net after a quarter of an hour to give the 'Treaty County' an ideal start. 

Sunday's win for Limerick sets up a Tailteann Cup final date with Kildare on Saturday, July 12 at Croke Park.
