LIMERICK GAA have confirmed that spend on county teams has gone down by €473,288 from 2023. In his Financial Report at the county convention held at Na Piarsaigh GAA last night, treasurer Sean Burke stated that the figure came down significantly due to the fact the senior hurling team did not make it to the All-Ireland Final.

A significant figure in the 2024 annual financial report was facility hire with Limerick GAA reporting on spending €103,314 compared to €35,764 the previous year. Mr Burke highlighted this increase saying that the TUS Gaelic Grounds and Mick Neville Park were both closed for a period of time last year so the County Board had to hire out various pitches including Charleville GAA pitch.

Physiotherapy costs were also up on 2023, due to the number of players who got injured throughout the season with the total costs coming to €169,518 up €18,181.

The total income of the Limerick county board this year was down on 2023 to a figure of €4,369,256 with the total expenditure coming out at €3,776,885.

Limerick GAA's income was mainly down to the lack of home games the county teams were drawn to play in 2024. Gate Receipts were down on 2023 by a significant margin decreasing to €646,065.

Mr Burke did commend the work done in terms of fundraising this year with the 'Win a Home in Adare' creating a profit of €451,925 boosted with the income from the annual Limerick GAA golf classic which brought in €73,567. The total fundraising income for this year totalled €817,737, a huge increase of €357,269 on 2023.
