Feenagh-Kilmeedy footballers aiming for Munster Junior Football final place

Exciting development: Tipperary Football Committee launch 'Football Strategic Plan 2018-20'

FEENAGH-KILMEEDY are 60 minutes away for a spot in the Munster Club Junior Football Final when they meet Cork's Kilmurry in Cloughduv this Saturday afternoon.

The clubs' footballers are aiming to join the hurling side of the house after they saw off The Banner in the Munster Club Junior Hurling semi-final a week ago.

The Feenagh-Kilmeedy footballers face a Kilmurry outfit that reached the final last year but lost out to David and Paudie Clifford's Fossa in the decider.

It's the first game for Feenagh-Kilmeedy since their defeat to Newcastle West in the Premier Junior A Football final in Limerick and they will be hoping for a positive result against a well-fancied Kilmurry outfit.

The Cork side had a 2-16 to 1-6 victory over Tipperary outfit Sean Treacy's in the quarter-final and will be full of confidence heading to Cloughduv.

Feenagh-Kilmeedy lost to Newcastle West in the group stages but had victories over Cappagh, Cappamore, Granagh-Ballingarry and Athea.

They also had victories over Kilteely-Dromkeen and Croom in the knockout stages before that loss to Newcastle West in the final.

Their game with Kilmurry has a 1.30pm start and is being streamed live by Munster GAA.
