A MAN has been rushed to hospital following an assault in the city centre.
The incident took place at around 8.30pm on Tuesday evening, in the Hyde Road area.
The male is in his 30s and was transferred to University Hospital Limerick.

His injuries are not life-threatening.
Gardai have launched an investigation.
