IT'S A BUSY day of action in the Irish Wire Products Limerick Senior Football Championshiop with four games taking place across the city and county.

First up this afternoon is the clash of Galtee Gaels and last year's beaten finalists Adare. The Adare side have won two from two in their games in the 2023 championship with Monaleen and Na Piarsaigh swept aside.

Galtee Gaels come into the fixture after a win over Ballylanders and a loss to Ballysteen. Adare will be firm favourites to make it three from three for the game that kicks off at 4.30pm in Kilmallock.

At 5pm in Ballyagran, Ballysteen face off against Ballylanders. It's crunch time for Ballylanders as they sit with zero points from their two games to date. Meanwhile, a win for Ballysteen will put them on four points. Monaleen beat Na Piarsaigh in Group 2's other game on Thursday night.

In Group 1, Oola play Fr Casey's in Clarina on 6pm this evening. Oola are in desperate need of a win after two defeats in the opening rounds, while a victory for the Abbeyfeale men will put them on four points.

The final game on Saturday sees Kildimo-Pallaskenry's put their 100% record on the line when they play St Kieran's in Askeaton at 7pm.

The city division side have adjusted brilliantly to life at the top level and will be expecting to win for a third time this year against a Kieran's side that have two points heading into round three.

The final game of the weekend takes place on Sunday afternoon when champions Newcastle West face Claughaun at 1pm in Askeaton.
