Four Limerick stars to take part in  Hurling for Cancer Research 2023 fixture

A whole host of stars are set to take part in the Hurling for Cancer Research game in Carlow on Monday.

FOUR LIMERICK All-Ireland hurling winners are set to line out for the Hurling Cancer for Research game that takes place in Netwatch Cullen Park on Monday, August 21.

Dan Morrissey, Cian Lynch, Kyle Hayes and Tom Morrissey will all be part of Jim Bolger's star-studded side that will be managed by Wexford's Liam Griffin, while Davy Russell's Best will see Brian Cody take to the sidelines as boss of that team. Limerick jockey Mark Enright will be representing Russell's side on the day.

A galaxy of sports stars including some of Ireland’s top hurlers and jockeys have been confirmed for the must-see battle between the two teams.

A who’s who of GAA, racing, sports and TV stars such as David and Paudie Clifford, Rachael Blackmore, Ursula Jacob, Paul McGrath, Miriam O’Callaghan, Michael Duignan, Kevin Manning, Willie McCreery, Barry Geraghty, Marty Morrissey and Joanne O’Riordan are among those set to lend a hand as selectors, commentators, side-line officials, umpires and maor uisce.

Throw in for the game on Monday is at 6pm. Squad lists are as follows:
