WEXFORD'S James Owens has been confirmed as the referee for Limerick's crunch Munster SHC clash with Cork on Sunday at the TUS Gaelic Grounds.
Owens was the man in the middle when John Kiely's side lifted the Liam MacCarthy Cup for the first time in 45 years when they beak Galway in the 2018 All-Ireland Final.
The Wexford man was most recently referee of a Limerick game when the Shannonsiders beat Clare in the Allianz Hurling League in February.
Limerick's game with Cork on Sunday has a 4pm throw-in at the Ennis Road venue and it has been confirmed that the game will be shown live on RTÉ2. The other game in Munster, Waterford v Tipperary will be streamed via GAAGO and also begins at 4pm.
