Time change for Limerick's Tailteann Cup opener with Longford

LIMERICK'S Tailteann Cup game with Longford at the TUS Gaelic Grounds will now take place at 6pm this coming Saturday the GAA have confirmed.

The fixture was initially fixed for a 4.45pm start. It is the first game that Mark Fitzgerald's side will play in the competition. They are in the Tailteann Cup after failing to reach the Munster SFC final.  

The date and start time for Limerick's second fixture in the Tailteann Cup has also been confirmed. They will travel to Carlow on Saturday, March 20 for a 3pm game. 

Limerick also play Wicklow at a neutral venue in their final group game on either June 3/4. There are four groups of four counties in the competition.The top teams in each group automatically advance to the quarter-final knockout stages.

The four second placed teams go to preliminary quarter-finals where they are joined by the three best third placed teams along with New York.
