KERRY Dairy Ireland hosted special events in Charleville and Adare to acknowledge a group of 50 farmers who facilitated visits from school children in local primary schools.
Over 2,000 school children visited a dairy farm and learned how milk was produced, how optimum grass can be grown on the farm, and how farmers are protecting their local streams and rivers.
Pat Murphy, CEO of Kerry Dairy Ireland, said that feedback from principals and school children was hugely positive after their visit to the farms.
