Strong interest in Limerick land for sale

THERE IS strong interest in an auction of top quality farmland in  Limerick this week.

Auctioneer John Flynn will be the man with the gavel for the public sale of circa 97 acres in total at Ballinacurra, Martinstown. It takes place in the Charleville Park Hotel this Thursday, November 23 at 3pm.

The land will be sold in two lots. Lot 1 is a two storey residence sitting on 15 acres which Mr Flynn describes as “excellent grazing ground”.

“The house is in need of total refurbishment but there is the option to knock it and build a new house subject to planning permission. It could be the perfect opportunity for a family wishing to move to the countryside and have some land to keep horses or ponies, or pursue hobby farming,” said Mr Flynn.

The Charleville-based auctioneer is guiding €350,000 for the house and 15 acres.
Lot 2 is 82 acres divided into ten fields of excellent quality. It is located in strong dairy country.

“The land would be A1. It has to be attractive to adjoining and neighbouring farmers,” said Mr Flynn, who is guiding at €10,000 an acre.

He reports strong interest in the two lots in the run up to the auction which takes place this Thursday afternoon, November 23.
