Limerick fifth year students get ‘ready for success’ with new programme

STUDENTS from Coláiste Nano Nagle on Sexton Street in Limerick are participating in a programme that will introduce them to career opportunities.

Over 20 fifth year students are taking part in Ready for Success, a Junior Achievement Ireland and Deloitte Ireland programme that kicks off this month.

The year-long programme offers students practical guidance and mentorship as they think about what’s next once they finish school.

Twelve staff from Deloitte’s Limerick office will lead three mentoring sessions over the course of the year, and there will also be a number of other elements in the programme, such as masterclasses led by industry experts.

The programme in Coláiste Nano Nagle is one of three launching nationally.

Junior Achievement Ireland was established in 1996 to help prepare young people for their futures by using the experience of those in the workforce, and Deloitte has supported the organisation since its inception.

Programmes like Ready for Success help young people understand the important role education will play in shaping their futures and inspire and motivate young people to change the world by equipping them with the skills, knowledge and confidence they need.

This programme is part of Deloitte’s WorldClass initiative which aims to impact 100 million people globally.
